The trout bite is really picking up. From nueces bay to mud island the trout are biting good. Most anglers are using croaker but shad can be the ticket to large trout especially on the flats. It allways seems we catch our biggest trout will fishing for red fish on the flats with menhaden. The menhaden are really starting to show up in numbers and are fairly easy to catch. Come on down and join in the action.
